Youtube SC400 Autostart

I was just browsing Youtube and came across this:

He seems to be using the OEM key and it also seems to be a pre-97 model. Is this true? Whats going on? The caption says it is for clublexus forums too. And one of the comments say you can do it on all SC400's. Did a search on the forum too but most refer to the installation of an aftermarket autostart system.

Yeah...you can start the car with the factory remote with an aftermarket remote starter.
I have an aftermarket remote though.

its not that complicated, u can get autostart integrated to work with the factory alarm (easier on pre 97 since there is no immobilizer) but the problem is that you are limited to the range of the OEM alarm system+key.

Aww bummer! I was hoping it would be something I didn't know about! Also, with the aftermarket remote starters nowadays, is it possible to have the car start up whenever it detects a certain temperature outside and the oil temp has dropped below a certain point? ie. -30 degree celcius weather. I think my cousins Echo has this feature, not sure if it is stock or aftermarket though.
