Default amp will not turn on!!!

I've installed a DVD player and i cant get my amp to turn on i had everything set up right and nothing happened...first i thought it was the remote wire and then i thought it was the ground but all of those are right. the amp seems like it wont recieve any power iv tried a different amp and that one wont turn on either...i have a 94 gs300 iv switched fuses twice on the wire running to the positive and that didnt make a difference either...and should the remote wire comming from the back of the deck have a fuse on it?? because the one from the back of the deck i have has a fuse... any one??

remote wires do not need a fuse. only power wire does.

go get a multimeter...check that way...this may sound crazy...but check the fuse under the hood at the batt.

well I've tried two different fuse set ups by the battery and its still acting the same im thinking the wire from deck with the fuse is what's causing the problem. im gonna go buy one of those volt meters and try it out 2morrow i hope i can get it to work...

I've had a fuse holder that seemed good just not conduct across the fuse for some reason-- I changed the inline fuse holder and it worked fine--

Use a meter-- $10 at radio shack for a basic mini sized one--

Check power across your 12v+ and ground -- This will be your culprit--

If you have power but no remote, you can just jump the positive terminal to the remote terminal-- as the remote signal is just a 12v signal-- this will tell you very quickly if your amp is at fault or not. (probably not)
