Default Keyless Entry

I really hate the fact that my 92 SC doesn't have keyless entry. Did all the SC's come with keyless entry, I bought the car used and it didn't come with any remotes. I was thinking of maybe calling lexus to order another remote, but dont know if my car came with it or not.

A 400 Should have it, but not sure on a 300--

It's $300 ish to get a new remote and have it programmed to your ecu-- (the transponder is in the ecu and cannot be changed to my knowledge, or they change it with one that matches the new remote--)

MUCH cheaper to install an aftermarket system, and it can be set up to have the cool lexus beep, plus the parking light flash as well--

I picked up a prestige remote entry, trunk release, and starter for $60 on ebay, and it's worked well for a few years in my G20, so I'll be moving it over to my SC400 soon, and replacement remotes for those are only about $20 plus shipping.....

They can do one more feature as well, so maybe a sunroof open/shut relay is in order for this one.

The prestige/audiovox brand is very reliable equipment, and makes a lot of other companies equipment as well.

I used to sell cars and the shop that did all of our cd changer and security system installs serviced many of the dealerships in the Little Rock area, and said they've never had problems with the Audiovox stuff.

It was a no reserve auction--

I snagged that one-- but you can still find them pretty cheap--

$50 can buy a basic two function remote system, for lock/unlock and trunk release if you don't need the remote starter--

Oh wow that is really cheap. Can you post pictures of what the fob is like? I have a 94 LS400 and really hate the fact that I don't have keyless entry either. (I've lost my remote keys). What is the range like on the remote? Did you install it yourself, or did you get someone to do the installation and how much did it cost?
