Default Headrest monitors and leather matching

I'm about to put my headrest monitors in my 98 GS, and I need to dye them to match the stock seats. Problem is, the 2 local paint stores don't have the dye color that is used, and they don't seem to want to help out. Question is, has anyone used dye to match the gray leather in one of these? Or any ideas on how to get some dye to match? Thanks!

i took mine to my uncles upolstery shop and they did it for me. what i am trying to say is take to a shop since you can't find right color dye, it should not be that expensive.

Well its just a matter of finding the right color dye for them to make. I don't take my car anywhere to get anything done, I do it all myself. Plus I work at an audio shop.

you asked for an opinion, i gave you mine. if you work at a shop you should already have the hook up for this type of things.

If you would have read my original post, you would have read that the 2 local paint supply stores don't want to help out and mix up some dye, which is pretty lame if you ask me. Of course I have other options, and places to order stuff from. I was hoping that Lexus had something, but I guess they dont.

I guess what I was looking for, was a color code, or something similar that someone had already used to match the gray leather in a GS.

Well I went back to the local paint place and told them they had to help me out since I couldn't find anything else. So after a day and a half, they got some dye mixed up. I guess they started with some Chrysler color and modified it to make it match. Here's a link to the results: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...43#post2337643
