DICE Ipod in 2004 RX330 w/NAV=Problems
Car is a 2004 RX330, with in dash 6 Disk CD and Navigation.
According to DICE, the DICE unit is supposed to plug into an empty connector on the back of the stereo. Well, mine had a connector with I believe 2 or 3 wires coming out of it. No problem, I was under the impression that the 3rd connector was for a trunk mounted CD changer, and since I have none, no problem, just plug in the DICE, and all will be fine. Well, the DICE and the Stereo worked perfectly, BUT the NAVI and the HVAC controls did not. Hmmmmm, so back I went, and plugged in the plug that was originally connected to the back of the stereo, into the DICE units "pass through" connector. Viola, all is good, everything worked, UNTIL today. Now, the DICE is not operating correctly (the Stereo Text doesn't update, it is stuck on "THE BEATLES", and the stereo controls do not operate the IPOD, but there is sound) and the HVAC and NAVI are not working again.
Anyone have any ideas. Should I plug that third connector in somewhere else. Anyone know what the pin out is, so I can connect the wires to another, more appropriate location.
Perhaps I should have gone with the VAIS unit, and I may in the end, but if I can get this to work, I would be most happy.
Any help would be appreciated, and yes, I have contacted DICE, and am waiting for an answer, though there might be someone here who went through it already, and has a solution.
Thanks.
Michael
