Really depends on what you want out of them. Brand wise they're on par with the mainstream brands with maybe the ED having a slight edge over them.

 

Purchasing an expensive subwoofer from a reputable company will not guarantee that the final product sounds good. You can purchase an inexpensive subwoofer at Bestbuy and install it in a well built enclosure, give it ample power, place it properly in your vehicle, tune it and it will sound great. You can also purchase an expensive subwoofer like a JL 13 W7 and install it improperly and it will sound terrible.

There really is not a single answer to "what is the best subwoofer?". Enclosure,placement, amplification, ............all these variables factor in to the final product.

TC sounds 18" LMS ultra. Without a doubt the lowest distortion subwoofer at most SPL out there today.
