Exclamation Where can I get that custom Headunit mounting bracket kit? sc400

I know someone on here was selling them I just can get in contact with them and im not positively sure who.

The kit is for a 92 sc400.

there's no special kit, unless the person took stock brackets and modified them. thus calling it "custom" which any stereo shop should be able to do for you....ok well not ANY...

All you have to do is pull the stock mounting bracket, test fit your aftermarket into it for proper depth, then drill new holes where needed...

if you contact metra directly they have a lot of great options. NO one ever who does size matching crutchfield best buy etc...would tell you that double din unit can fit in es but Metra had an adapter so that I didnt have to replace unit with single din for my ES... www.geocities.com/azmalu/lex.html

ES and SC dashes are totally different. Metra has pockets like everyone else. if you REALLY wanted to, you could get the ES kit and maybe be skilled enough to file it down to make it work. but then again....it wouldn't be a mounting bracket.

All I did was make a simple 1.5 DIN pocket out of 1/4" MDF. Here's a pic:

Kick azz clean install Kratos thanks for the pic. Thanks for the input from everyone. Im guessin I can find MDF at Home Depot, Lowes, ACE?

Yup. I get all my MDF at Home Depot. I basically glued these pieces together with wood glue and C-clamped them. Turned out alright I suppose.
