iam about to do my install on my gs300 , but i need a bit of advice on which route to go...i have a jl audio 500.1 that weill be powering my sub(s)..but cant decide on what to get , whether a 10w7 or two 10w6v2 , i want nice clean bass. also if anyone has pics of their trunk setups post pics , trying to get ideas.

 

are you just gettin a box or havin some custom work done?

 

mmm..semi custom , just the box will be custom , iam thinking of going ported firing into the car from rear deck...

 

ported is good, get the two 10w6v2...

im also bout to get custom work on my car, speakers,subs, neons. that sort of thing

Go for the 2 10w6v2 over the 10w7. They'll get louder and will have better sound quality.

your gonna use your 500.1 right, OK, so go with the 10w7. That sub is rated at 500wrms, perfect match for the amp your using. If you'd get (2) w6 you would need a 800 watt amp.

 

Here's my trunk setup that will be for sale very soon. 2 JL w6v2. Nice clean bass.

If i were you i would go with the 2 W6's but if i did that i would be pushing it with 1000/1 instead.
