Default GS300 Stereo Harness

Hey,
Im purchasing an Alpine Headunit for my GS, and i was wondering if there is a plug and play harness made for it, and if so who sells it. I tried searching for it, and i found a few threads that dealt with the install on the GS400, and a harness for the GS300 being sold on www.autotoys.com and it looks like this http://www.autotoys.com/x/catalog/Da...e_1_c_324.html Is this the right one, if not please let me know which one to use and where to get it from, because i really dont want to hardwire it, i hate the idea of chopping up wires!

Of what I know there really isn't a direct plug and play harness for the GS. The one that they advertise for the GS I have seen has had to have the pins rewired for it to work.

here is some info that will help you out. You should definitely look in the Audio Forum for additional info regarding this.

I bidded on that auction but when the guy saw that no one was bidding, he cancelled it and relisted it. Anyway, there are a ton of guys out there trying to upgrade their 98 GS radios to the 01 versions, including me. I know that you need a 20 pin for the 01 and a 10 pin 6 pin for the 98. Found the 20 but a little lost on the other one. Also, here is a pdf of the 98-2000 wiring diagram. Just need the 01 and up diagram. Let's keep the info going on this thread since there isn't a thorough one for this topic.
