Wiring harness, and face place???
hey, wat's up everybody... i have a 2000 lexus gs300... i have the factory radio in it, the regular one... i'm goin to put in a alpine iva-1004 in it, and i was wondering if anybody know who makes a face plate, and wiring harness for my car... i'll like to have one that just plugs and play, don't want to hassel with the redoin the pinouts, or customin part of the kit or harness... i tried the search, and just got me more confused
... anywa's if anybody could tell me which one i could use and stuff... that will be most appeciated, thanks cl...

Good luck.... I too have a 2000 GS300 and I spent most of the weekend finding a harness. For the faceplate, check out Circuit City. I got mine there for under $20. As for the harness, they will give you one that SAYS it will work, but the connector is wrong and the pinouts are wrong.
I am waiting to get a mechanic's manual, and that promises to have the pinouts for the radio. I did find a toyota harness (all i can recall is that it fit the 1997) that has the correct connector. As soon as I get the manual, I will be spending time to rework the pinouts on the harness. I have done a lot of searching on the internet and have not found anything for the 2000 GS300. It is like 1. it doesnt exist
or 2. super complicated that no one wants to touch.
In the end, I will have a new Panasonic stereo and have the Sirus satellite hardwired. (i hope)
