I just got my Alpine 7977 hu installed this afternoon, and all I can say is OMFG! The noise problems I was having with the POS Pioneer are completely gone, and I'm now able to run with my gains at about 1/4. While there are other decks out there with more features as well as others that have slightly better SQ, this deck is the perfect balance between the two.

now if they would just release the 12w7, my life would be complete.
