My opinion has always been to go with Pioneer. You generally get more features for less money. The high end Pioneer stuff is quality.

I've had friends who've sworn by Alpine. But in the 12 years I've had my first Pioneer, they've gone through 3 or 4 Alpine units because of something misaligning or just breaking.

CDA-9835....Have never seen a deck with more options, technicalities, power (60x4, 26x4 rms) But then again my friends don't like spending money on good quality audio equipment.
