Default Anyone else experiencing these small annoyances with their Eclipse AVN headunits?

First is the DVD slot. On mine it's really slow ejecting the disc and when pulling the disc in. Sometimes it seems like the disc is going to get stuck but never has yet. The CD slot on the other hand is super fast. I don't really care that it's slower, just concern that there might be an underlying problem.

Second is the delay when switching songs. When I press the << or >> buttons I can hear the beeps telling me it recognized the command but the music still keeps playing for about 4-5 seconds before skipping to the next. Also sometimes the music would stutter 1 or 2 times and then skip forward. The delay switching from folder to folder can also get annoying at times too. This is just for the mp3 section. The CD section is flawless though. I'm pretty sure these are just limitations of the unit but coming from an ex-alpine owner where the mp3 section of that headunit was almost perfect, it can get annoying at times.

Those are my only small gripes. It's still an excellent headunit but hopefully Eclipse work out these small kinks in their new models.

I don't think I ever removed my navi disc, so I can't really help you there.

Also, with the cd song skipping issue, does it occur when you are playing mp3?
If so thats pretty normal for some of the AVN's, it has to load menus and such.
I never play mp3's anymore that's what my ipod if for.

yes there is a little lag on the DVD drive ejecting, sadly it happens. if it gets too bad, take it to the shop and get it taken care of under warranty. OR...if you have your receipt you can file a claim online and get it taken care of under warranty. PM me if you want the website (I do warranty returns for a custom car shop)
