Get some new CDs yesterday, so change out discs 4+5, start playing, and 4 is skipping. Oh s*** maybe Mark Levinson is done. Because I experienced this with my Maxima, when it wasn't the discs.

Never experienced this since getting the car in Oct.

Play disc 5 (it's a 2 cd set), no problems. Play other discs, no problems. I guess the disc is defective. Hope so, unless anyone out there knows, "Yep, that's the start of your cd player going out....."

Gonna get the disc replaced and see. If the replacement is fine, bad quality I guess....

 

Well, if it's reading all of the other discs fine then it has to be the disc. There has to be only one playback mechanism in that player that the discs get shuttled into for playback. Try cleaning the disc?

 

Yep tried wiping the disc carefully...ordered an exchange online....seems like disc 2 is just fine from this album...I actually wonder if the next replacement could be defective, maybe production related?.....I believe I could rip it from online, but I no longer really have a CDR...or blank cds

edit: it was 16F this am when I went to the gym on 3/5. disc 4 wouldn't even play, and disc 5 skipped. Went to disc 1, and it was fine. I'm no leaning to poor quality on the discs, I bet the replacement is identical. We shall see. Again, this is something I just paid $20 for, commercially produced, and brand new out of the wrapper, and which just came out. If the 2nd set is the same I'm returning....

 

well done all, please I just started using GS 300. my car tape is not playing CD. am not sure I have loaded the cd well. can someone put me through how to load the CD I just inserted the cd plate with CDs in into the cd in the trunk...

if i press on cd nothing is showing on the display screen. it will remain in radio not changing to CD

The CD player starting jamming when I loaded/unloaded CD"s. It first happened a month after I bought the latest LS. Happened w both commercial and homemade discs. The problem went on for several days. Suddenly stopped. It's worked smoothly and reliably w/o any problem for months. Hope yours decides to behave!

 

CAN ANYONE TEACH ME HOW TO PLAY THE 12 LOADER CD IN THE TRUNK OF GS 300 MODEL. SEEMS AM NOT GETTING IT. WHEN I PRESS THE BOTTON LABELLED CD IN THE CAR, nothing changes it remains in radio station, THE CDs will not play and there are cd in the trunk

please is anything wrong or you put me through am new to this kind of sound system.
