Default Need Help with decision

Is there a aftermarket HU with navigation and ability to play DVD while driving that will work with the factory system including the factory CD changer. I was thinking of a double din eclipse HU but not sure what model will do all this.

Any help will be appreciated.

A read awhile back that the stock changer can be made to work with certain pioneer headunits. I'm not exactly sure which models of pioneeer though. I'm pretty sure the stock changer won't work with any Eclipse HU.

Why not just buy the Eclipse CH3083 changer that plugs right into the 2-DIN Nav headunit? Will save a ton of headaches. Price = $250-300.

Will this changer fit in the glove compartment where the stock changer is? Also what model eclipse HU is best?

Yes, it will fit in with some minor removal of plastic to free up space for the sliding cover. DaveGS4 has it in his '98 GS. I am just about to put one in mine.
Which Eclipse headunit you get depends on the tradeoffs that you are willing to make. They are all great. (You know, Eclipse/Fujitsu makes the stock Nav units for Lexus...) Check out their website under Navigation. www.eclipse-web.com
There are some great deals on these on ebay. The new 5500 and 6600 are great, the 5495 has a hard-disk based nav system. I'm going with the 6600 myself, should be released around end of April.
Eclipse sound quality is awesome.

You might also think about keeping the rest of the stock system temporarily, but upgrading it with new amp and speakers later. If not, you'll be missing out on some serious sound quality.

Also note that the Eclipse nav units have plug-ins for Sirius, iPod, [ and HDRadio ($$$) ].
