Thumbs up Additional Advice

NO brings up a good point to which more can be added. Just pick up either an IASCA or USAC rulebook & follow their guidelines as far as locating fuses, picking proper gauge wiring, etc. Even if ya don't compete, both governing bodies have common sense rules which should be applied to any basic install. These rules are, for the most part, based on years of competition & everyday installations & not just picked out of thin air. Funny thing about my last statement is that the very advice that NO is giving WAS just an arbitrary number that David Navone ( the creater of what was to become the foundation of both the USAC/IASCA rulebooks ) thought of while flying to the first Nationals ( then called the 'National Crank It Up" final which was held in the Houston Astrodome in 1984 &, yes, I WAS THERE!! - I'm old, remember!! ). The number to which I'm refering to is the "fuse must be located within 18" of the power source". Go figure!

I am with Gene on the 18" fuse rule. You will definetely be hit on points if you fuse it at the back of the car.

Cool, I that date is a history of car audio. I bet it was very interesting since it was so new?
