Exclamation 10"Sub Replacement

I've heard of and seen a ton of posts where people have swapped out their stock sub and replaced it witha free air sub... What is the mounting depth available when picking a sub... What is the depth of the current sub, and what is the available depth?

Also, let's hear what others have put in there

Yeah I have a 90 LS and wanted to change out my stock 8incher to another free air 8 incher (I KNOW IT DOES NOT SOUND AS GOOD AS ONE IN THE TRUNK) simply to keep the stock look and avoid stealing space from my trunk. Any suggestions on where to find one??? From what I hear they are one of the most rare items to find on the entire earth. Can anyone help??

Anyone with the depth/ dimensions of your stock/aftermarket sub, what you have powering it, and the model numbers so everyone can get a look at what they can put in their cars

I got a 8" image dynamics id4 v3 sub, it works free air, not bad 10x better than stock but nothing like a sealed box. Sub prob maxes out around 200 watts in free air setup

JL Audio IB4 10". Took out original 8", opened the hole up and built custom baffle to clear gas tank.

I have a Nakamichi 10" sub from my '99 GS400 that I will sell for $25 shipped to lower 48. It worked great but I recently replaced the whole Nakamichi sysytem with aftermarket system.

When you post like this in the audio forum, please remember that it isn't model-specific, so please state the model of car you have, the year, etc. so it's clear. (GS, SC, LS, ...)
Thanks.
