Help: Keyless entry not working...

Keyless entry...need help
Just recently purchased a 1992 SC400 and the Keyless entry does not work. It has the keyless entry built into the key as pictured below and I just replaced the battery. I have searched and searched the forums and I read just about every thread on keyless entry issues and also searched on Google as well. I found the steps to reprogram the key after putting in a new battery found here https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...37&postcount=10 but to no avail after many attempts. Either those directions are wrong or i'm just an idiot and am doing something wrong. Anyone else have trouble getting it programmed using those steps? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
