Compatable Lexus sub woofer
Ok, before I get flammed for not using the search button, I have tried for the past two days and can't find what I'm looking for. Anyway, I read somehwere that a another sub from a different line of Lexus' will fit in the stock location of the SC and be compatable with the NAk system. If I remember correctly this speaker runs off of 0 ohms and is ratted at a lower wattage, thus giving more bump in the trunk. Any help would be great!
i dont understand.... you want a replacement sub, right? but you want it mounted to the same place (above gas tank), right? and you want to stay oem, right? okay... when you say NAK, do you mean the nakamichi (spellcheck) system? i thought those also came with a sub?... im not sure but IMO i think an external box with an aftermarket sub would sound better. although im bias because thats what im running....
like you said... more bump in the trunk!

I had an Alpine R12 in the trunk of my SC400 -- it was too much, IMHO. I dynamatted, and crap still rattled.
On my current SC I used $3 in washers & bolts from lowes and put a JL Audio 10 W0-4 in my trunk. It really needs an aftermarket amp to drive it, but I like the fact that it fits in the stock location and sounds pretty decent...
and I paid $60 for the sub and extra parts
