Default Trunk Keyhole Backup Camera **UPDATED w/ PICTURES**

Went to have this installed this past weekend, and the cam we got did not fit into the keyhole.

I am looking for a bullet style cam in the $200-250 range (or lower) so there is no obstructed view on the picture of the camera.

Features I would like like: (I think these are standard)
1.0 Lux (Best quality)
Reverse picture
Color in the daytime and turns to black and white for night viewing

I know LXOGOOD has a perfect cam but he doesn't know the brand name, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out.

The one we had was the SAVV cam, and it was too big.

Please dont tell me this is the Savv one that you had?

http://www.savv.com/rv3000.html

I was thinking about getting this one but if it doesnt fit then I wont.

I would like to know of the two that are posted from mobilevideo4less, is there much difference between the B & W and color, other than the one is color ? I would prefer the color one. Also how is the lux rating on them? one says .1 and one is .2

Adam, the one you found will be just fine. It has a .2 lux which is good. I would contact them to see if they have a color camera that is a .1 Lux. Either way, the camera looks very similar to mine. You may have to grind out the key hole just a tad to make it fit snug.

Good luck

If you have problems finding the camera you want, let me know and I'll swing by the audio shop to get more info on the camera I bought.

Rich, I don't know if it was that exact SAVV model.
Jeff (Lexis11) is doing my whole system and he purchased the camera for me and him, but said he couldn't get it in there. I don't think they tried to bore anything out though.

Ken, if you have a chance to find out from your audio shop, that would be great, since me and Jeff both need to find one. No rush though, since I gotta wait about 2 weeks until I can make the trip to Jeff's place again.

I've also found a great FAQ for anyone interested/curious regarding the Color, Black&White and LUX rating.

It appears that the .2 LUX is as low as it goes, since Black & White will 99% of the time have a lower rating that the color version.

Here is the link

I didn't have any luck searching online for anything associated with the SAVV camera.

I bet you could call them and talk to a sales rep
