Has anyone actually seen, or better yet, installed the SC dash kit from luxurymods.com? They have one listed for 92-00, although the picture definitely is NOT an early gen SC:
I have tried 3 different vendors for dash kits so far and installed none of them, since they all didn't fit right and looked really cheap. So I'd be interested in a high quality kit.
Well, I guess you get what you pay for. And after trying three different kits, I don't want to try another cheapo kit. As far as I can see, the Ebay kits look pretty much like the ones I already tried, which means they look and feel like cheap plastic. All of them are waaaaay too glossy and the fit is horrible.
So I thought at $200, the kit from luxurymods may be of better quality.
I'd be doubtful if it was any different then your standard ebay kit. I think it's a single manufacturer that puts out all these kits and sites just sell them at the price they choose.
So I take it nobody here has seen or tried it yet? I guess I'm gonna email them then an see what they have to say ...
Another question ... does anyone know a place that makes custom, high quality kits, according to the customer's specifications? I am currently redoing my (already custom) center console and really need something good looking to put over the climate control and shifter assembly.
do this...get a template of the hole in your dash...take that to a glass place and have them cut you a peice of plexiglass...paint the back black and figure out how to get it in place...BAMMMO !!
