CD Changer doesn't like my burned CD's
My changer on my 95 SC300 plays normal CD's just fine, but while playing burned cd's, I can't skip to different songs or else it'll pick up in the middle of a random track.
I didn't have this issue until fairly recently. I know it's not a problem with the burned CD's themselves because my changer didn't have these issues with the same CD's in the past.
Does my changer need a cleaning or something? Anyone have any insight? Thanks.

I had the same problem on my 92 SC300. Usually up to track 4 would work, but anywhere after that it would either end up on some random track, or i'd get the err message. Funny thing is it would work better if i burned a cd on an old burner that i have, as opposed to my new burner where i would be lucky if it would read it at all. I put up with it for a year and then recently put in a pioneer radio that plays mp3s, so i dont have to deal with that changer anymore. My last sc had the same problem, as did the 93 gs i had before it, so i figure its basically because these old cd players werent meant to play burned cds, because they all worked fine on regular cds bought from a store. If yours used to work then it seems very possible that the lens is dirty...maybe that was the problem with mine too.
This is so wierd, my CD changer ONLY plays burned CD's. If I try to put in an original, it wont play and I will have to make a copy of it first. Either way, I think it means our CD changers are slowly on their way out
