I just searched the site looking for options/opinions on giving the sound system some more kick. Really what I'd like to do is just put in a free-air sub into the back deck w/ and amp. I have seen this recommended, but can't find anyone w/ first hand experience. Is it worth it? Has anyone done this, and how does it sound?
well I have 2 free air 12" subs in my car and I had to build a custom box for them which took out half the trunk since they do need alot of room but I have lots of bass and I do hit real deep bass too but if your gonna change out your regualar sub and just put another 10" in then try the nakamichi or rockfordfostgate makes a 10" sub that puts out 1000watts so you can get that and have a custom box put in the back and have it kinda be in the middle and then cover it with fabric but there are many diffrent ways you can go about this it just depends on how much you wanna spend and what you want it to look like
I have a lightly used JL Audio 10 IB4 subwoofer for sale. I am installing a sealed Diamond M5.
The JL is the free air style that drops in to the rear deck position in place of the stock sub. Several Club Lexus members have done this. See the other threads.
It retails for around $129. Make an offer. I will have to add roughly $15 for shipping.
