how useful is a radar detector?? my friend tells me that cops have something that the radar can't detect is this true?? if the radar was on will i be able to find out if a cop is on the freeway??

 

Im pretty sure that they turn it on as soon as they see your car... so by the time your radar detector goes off it is too late. Hopefully there is someone in front of you so then you could detect it ahead of time

 

best combo is a valentine 1 and a lidetek jammer.

Valentine 1 has been rated to be one of the best radar detectors... and it works well with the the lidatek jammer...

Its the laser that many radar detectors detec that is too late. so this is where the jammer comes in. It scrambles the gun for 5 seconds... enuff time for u to slow down, then after the 5 seconds, the current speed (after u slow down) will be what the officer reads. The V1 is used so that u can tell its a laser being used. The 5 sec. rule is also used so that the officer wont know that u have a jammer because eventually he'll get a reading. He'll jus' be confused as hell...
