IS300 Eclipse 6x9 w/crossovers Help!

Just had Eclipse 6x9's installed in the IS300 and they sound like crap.
They bypassed the crossovers on the speakers and they still sound bad.
When you fade to the back, there's practically no sound. (clipping?)
The factory speakers actually sound better.
Anybody have any ideas as to why a $225.00 set of 6x9's sounds so bad.
Any help would be appreciated.
