i Just bought this Is300 about a month ago at 87k got the whole 90k service done that broke my bank. Just after 2weeks after that service i get a loud screeching sound thought it was my neighbor weedwacking but it was from right side of the engine. To compound to this problem my steering now is acting up and when i make turns it stiffens up. I dont know Diddly squat about eingines or cars in general so please Excuse my stupidity. Any Help or advice before i take it back to the sharks for repairs would be much appreciated. i was wondering if this could be caused by the mechanic who changed the belts and water pump.

also had new front brakes and rotors installed. could that cause the loud sound and steering stiffness. both of these problems happen over nite since the car was fine the day before. also i just checked on my break since im at work if the noise was there and it wasnt there but im sure it will come back. didnt drive it though to see if the steerin was still stiff

 

Take it back to the shop that did your 90K asap! If they try to charge you......toughen up and hold your ground. The shop should be able to pinpoint the problem. Make sure to have them let you nkow what the issue is before they try and fix it and charge another arm and leg. Keep us posted and good luck. Sorry, I'm no expert with engine noises.

thank you sway i plan to do that first thing monday. ill keep ya guys posted on what they tell me in case anyone else has this problem
