Then you're gonna have to get something fabricated, which means big dough. Just buy a flip out screen and get navi put in your car. If you want it to look stock then it's gonna cost you because as far as I know there isn't any current Lexus navi system that will easily swap into an older SC.

you would need to by the Navi brain i think they run about 7-900.00 or you can buy a toyota navi. (from 04' camry,4runner) a member here put it in his 97-98 es300.

p.s. you posted in the incorrect forum. this is goin to get moved to audio/visual

Not exactly sure but I do know there's different types you can get. I have a friend who has a somewhat cheapie navi system in his car. I say cheapie because he got the navi system that runs off a disk, it's just a map of the city. Not too good for people like me who drive in all kinds of different cities and easily gets lost. I guess he just wants to know his way around LA. The guys in the audio/video section should be able to chime in with more specific info.

The small portable units are pretty good for the $, like the Magellan RoadMate. The model 700 with all the map data loaded can be found at Costco or other discounter for ~$1000. You might want to look at these...

what stereo system wiring harness do you havce right now/? do you have the p1600 radio no cd button or the p6800 with cd button or the n104 nakamichi.(the id number is on the cassette flap door. i have a plug in and play navi system from a 1998 jdm soarer that would work. it is made by pioneer and has single cd , caseette, tvtuner and navigation cdrom system. (2 years before dvd systems came out.) it has internal amp so would work great on 92 93 sc with no cd buttoin radio as it would be plug in and play. for some reason lexus equal models in japan have internal radio amps not outboard trunk amps like usa models. so the navis from japan lend well to replacing the base radio model headunits p1600(leather interior) and p1606 (cloth interior)of 92 and 92 sc300. i can make an adapter for it to plug into any model sc however even if it has external amp.

Only their single cd base models had internal amps.
The units with the 12 stack cd players had external amps and subwoofers, so did the touchscreen emv models (they even had a reverse camera option).

I was looking at some eclipse double din screens with cd/tape. They look like they would look pretty clean. Anyone seen one?
