Default Rear camera possibilities?

So recently I've been getting pretty interested in the car audio scene again. I just got my CVA-1004 in, and after tooling around on Alpine, and other websites I've really become interested in putting in a back-up camera. Now, I know the CVA doesn't come with an input (shoulda got the IVA-D300), but I have found some various add-ons that could help me out.

My question is which ones will work for my head unit? On Alpine's site, the KCE-104V is listed for the CVA-1004, and does say that there is a rear camera input. However, on Crutchfield's site they have the KCA-410C (cheaper) listed, saying only that it can connect to two more Ai-net changers and 2 other auxiliary inputs. They also say only auxiliary inputs for the KCE-104V. So can a back up camera be connected to any AUX input, or is there a special connection? Sorry about the long and confusing post, but anything is appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone have any words of advice...? I hate to be a huge "bumper".

Well you can basically utilize any camera. I have the IVA-D300 and I have a SAVV back up camera. Awesome feature. You defenitley should have gotten the IVA-D300 but its all good, at least you went with the best in Alpine.

Rear view cameras are usually composite video output just like DVD players. So if you can hook up DVD player to that monitor, it should be the same for the camera. Now you need something to do the switching however.

Lexis11, I know I shoulda got the IVA, but I realized I had to save something for college. I couldn't justify the over $1000 price for the unit. For the switch, won't engaging the car into reverse be enough for the camera to come on? I guess either one of those devices will work as they both add more inputs, but I may do it right this time and just spend more to get the one with a camera input built in. Thanks a lot for the help guys, but would it be possible for the camera to come on automatically once reverse was engaged?

Yup absolutley. Once you put the car in reverse the camera should pop up automatically.
