1990 ls400 sealed subwoofer install
i need help on installing a pair of subs in a sealed box into my '90 ls400, to replace the factory installed crappy *** 8" free air sub. i figure i can steal the line inputs from the current subs amp (a pioneer gm-????-zt) located in the trunk, but there are so many wires going in
is it likely that the diagram posted on this thread inline is pertinent?:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=13182
i worry not because:
a) its not an ls400
b) its not a pioneer amp thats receiving the input
c) who knows what year it is
d) i dont think this is the same # of inputs (should be between 8-10)
but this diagram which is linked off the same page is for a pioneer:

however it still suffers from worries a and c ... can anyone verify one way or another? or has anyone tried to do what i am talking about with the same amp? i dont want to destroy my system or kill myself!

PS ... on the second link, on the diagram brought up by clicking on "sub amp", which of these inputs would be the equivalent of a "remote" from the stereo? either 3 or 4 im sure, but which? id much rather steal that as well than have to pull out my head unit. To preempt a worry, I understand that I can't take the power leads as the new amp will be drawing much more current than the wires will want to handle.
PPS ... i have fooled around with the sub amp input a bit more in the last few hours and have determined its not the same as the one diagramed in the 2nd link, even though it is the same type of connector (or if not,
very similar). for one thing, where the diagram says the - signal should be, there is no lead in. and where the ground should be, there is no lead either.
thanks
