Question Nav Logo Screen

Anyone figure out how to get the Lexus logo screen to stay visible when you don't want to see the navigation screen? I tried not saying "yes" in hope that it would eventually default but after what seemed like 15 minutes it was still asking me to answer the lawyer question. My boss has a new Jag that lets him turn off the map and just view a screen with "Jaguar" on it.

Default Nav Logo Screen

I agree, at some point it would be nice not to have to answer the lawyer question.

I sent Lexus Customer Service a note yesterday so we will see what responses I get.

The logo screen is only shown at start-up, and never after that.

I know that is the case. What I want is to find a way to recall it when you don't need the nav system on. Seems like an easy thing since the logo is present in the system software.

Well I guess if you think decrypting, learning, rewriting and compiling the nav software is easy, then it should be no problem..

I fully understand all that effort isn't easy but how hard can it be to put a "recall" command somewhere since the screen already exists somewhere in the programming.

Actually the Lexus logo screen doesn't come from the nav unit, it's generated inside the multi-function display.

Here's the reply I got from Customer Service at Lexus:

"Thank you for contacting Lexus Customer Satisfaction regarding the navigation system in your 2004 LS 430.

I apologize but currently the navigation system does not allow the Lexus logo to remain on the screen while the map is not in use. We appreciate the feedback on your vehicle so that we may consider this suggestion when designing future models. I have documented your concerns at our national headquarters. I am sorry for any inconvenience this situation has caused you."

Guess at least that is some feedback.
