'73 MGB Stereo help
Hey guys, i don't have a Lexus, but Darden sent me over here to get a little help from the masters. I have a 1973 MGB roadster that has a no sound system to speak of and limited space to put one in. I eventually want to put some kind of sound system into this car, but I have no idea where to begin. The MG has kind of a throaty engine and with the top down there is a good bit of road noise, so don't really need a system that pumps bass, and has award winning sound. What I am really looking to do I put together a decent sounding system, cheaply, and hopefully doesn't look like it has come back in time from the future. The overall goal is to have speakers and a reciever that don't draw any attention. I'm trying to keep with the 73 look. What components will i need and what should I look for in each piece?
While CL members are free to respond, Darden shoulda sent you over to www.SoundDomain.com, which is audio-themed but not geared towards any particular car brand. You'll also get many more "hits" and replies than you do here- it's a much bigger forum. Many of us CL members are over there, anyways.
