Installing large sound system in Lexus LX450 / FZJ80 Landcruiser
I decided to put together a thread since I am about to embark on installing a rather large sound system in my Lexus LX450. I have been actively involved in audio installation for over 20 years, and always my own stereo is last to get worked on. Now I am going to push it ahead for priority. The setup will be made for both Sound Quality and Loudness competition. The end goal is to use good equipment to achieve great results. This is not a typical sound system for the casual listener, but a full on audio experience. If you like giant sound systems, feel free to subscribe to the thread.

The Infinity EMITs really brings back memories. They had the two car versions and I was actually using the EMIT from a Epsilon as well as a EMIM and EMIM-L at one time. They're pretty tough to get right since they are so directional and beamy. The EMIM-L was over a foot long x 8 inches x 1.5 inches. For those that don't know what the EMIM or EMIM-L was, they're the Electro Magnet Induction Midrange. The "L" designation is for "Lower" midrange, good down to about 100 Hz. The EMIM was about 6 inches x 3 inches, mounting depth of 1/2 an inch.
Yes, the speaker was huge. Parts were still available back in the mid 1990s. Nothing now... http://audio-heritage.jp/INFINITY/sp...s-epsilon.html
