Default Beware- Sc400tuner.com

DO NOT attempt to buy any of the dash insert from SC400tuner.com. I went online and purchase one. I have NOT gotten any response to email or PM. I paid thru Paypal and fund was transfer right away. I have since tried to contact him on the status of my order and has not gotten any response. It been 1.5 weeksl. Just to let everyone know and venting.

Tony,

Please don't spam the forums with the same post... this one here is appropriate and enough. I've merged your three posts into this one.

I'd personally suggest that 10 days is not a lot of time for a small shop (especially if they travel and do shows like I believe they do). Not saying it's a good thing or good customer service... just not out of the ordinary.

Default Good point Dave...

...but it's getting more and more out of the ordinary now that (almost) everyone has a laptop, remote internet access, Blackberrys, email-enabled cell phones, Palm pilots, email inbox assistants or auto-answer, etc...

So everyone's expectations are rising. I sell on eBay and it's amazing how much smaller the window of acceptable response time keeps getting.

Default just venting

sorry, but when you email the guy and he seems to ignore you, it get very frustrating. I don't mind if he would reply and tell me that it might take some time. He very quick to reply before you pay him but afterward it like chasing "white rabbit".

every email i sent to sc400tuner@yahoo.com never gets a response.

try sending a PM to a member named "altran" he's the manager at sc400tuner.com. i had trouble paying through the website so i sent altran a PM and he told me his mailing address to mail in a check as form of payment. my payment cleared last Wednesday and im still waiting for a reply from him with a tracking number. He told me last night he will give me a tracking number in the morning(which is today), and he didnt even send me a message.

Ive experienced the exact same thing with this guy about 6 months ago. I offered him $25 for a piece of wood trim for a door (mine had a small chip in it) he agreed to that, but said he would want my piece when I got his. I agreed and sent him 25 thru paypal. Never heard from him again.

tony400, what form of payment(through PAYPAL) did you use to pay him? credit card, checking transfer, or funds from PAYPAL? you can file a fraud claim with PAYPAL; then you can contact credit card company or bank.

if i knew this is how they do business, i wouldve have just paid a local shop 300 bucks to do a custom install.

Default payment

I paid him thru Paypal-checking transfer. I'm going to give him a couple more days to respond or I will file a fraud claim. What a A--hole

Damn...
He has the wood trim replacement kit for sale on ebay. For a second, i thought of buying it. Then again, he has a very good rating.
Good thing I read this post.
