Finally. The day has come! I have had this brand new in the box JL 12w7 sitting in the room for 5 months now...

it will be a 4 day project. Going to install the JL 12w7 into the rear deck. The rear deck will then have to be reinforced, due to the heavy weight of the sub. A custom box and amp rack will be added and ported in the rear deck as well. Wil be powered by JL 500.1 amp.

The next part will be to install the Alpine IVA-D900. I am just waiting to get it at a good price.

Also installing the Viper 790vx alarm/remote start w/ perimeter field sensor too. No more freezing my butt off in the morning!

A 12W7 attached to the rear deack???????? That is sooooo heavy. Can't wait to see that. If you want a good deal then pm I got the 900 brand new at my shop. (Am I allowed to post that?) Sorry mods?

Either way that 12w7 is gonna pound if surrounded properly. Wait till you hear how loud it is. too much for me but a lot of my friends like them!

 

Yea, it is very heavy. It will be custom mounted on the rear deck, and it might need a fabricated deck..so we will see when we get it started.

the 900? what do you mean? mods? i am confused...

i have 1 already installed in a custom trunk box ported...but now i am ready to do this install. I want more bass..and this will be crazy especially since it will be like a hatchback sub now

hahah..well, my gf uses that car..and she said she doesnt want anything in it. LOL. i already have a jl 12w7, jl 500.1 amp in it. She complains it is already too loud! hahahah...anyways..the bmw will get new shoes this spring...unless we sell it

Alright, its in the shop...they are installing as we speak Due to the size of the sub, a box is going to be built up to the rear deck. So the sub will be installed underneath the opening. They are modifying the rear deck to accomodate it

 

Aight...here is the pix...it will be done by tonite Also, i finally got the Alpine IVA-D900 Its comin on tuesday, so back to the shop to have it installed!
