I know this subject has been beated to death and before anyone suggests doing a "search", trust me I have done that. I've spent the last hour going over old threads. I seem to have found contradicting instructions, (actually I wasn't sure which was right so I tried them both). So I have spent the last hour or so locking and unlocking doors, pressing and depressing pedals, etc. Neither method has worked for me. For a quick background, I have a 98 GS400 and just got a new remote key from Sewell Lexus (don't ask me why they charged almost $30 to ship a tiny key 2nd day air!) Anyway, can anyone help me out? My nearest Lexus dealership is about 140 miles away or else I would swing by there and see if they could give me a hand.
