I have a 92 sc300 and lately the keyless entry works on the passenger side and not driver's side. 50% of time it works ok. Is this a sign of it (the master key) needing a new battery? Any ideas? thanks

 

A similar thing happened to me...My passenger door stopped working...Ended up that the bar that the door handle was connected too had come unclipped. Took it to the lexus dealer ( my dads work ) and they just bent the bar back and said "It could break back tomorrow or it could last another 10 years... whenever it breaks you'll need to buy a new one"....I thought it was my keyless entry but it was the passenger door...could be a similar problem or could have nothing to do with it... Just what happened to me...Make sure that the switch for Keyless entry is turned to on and change the battery, if that fails... id say take it to the dealership...

the keyless entry on my 93 sc300 stopped working. it had a BR1216 3v batterie and all i could find at radioshack or battieries plus was a CR1216 3v

well, i read on some site one is a high drain (BR) and one is a low drain(CR).
the 2$ cr1216 didnt work in my remote, and my local lexus wanted 23.99 $ for a BR1216.
carson toyota shipped me one for 16.$ ...
and my remote still dosent work
