AMP wiring kits?
I was wondering what brand makes the best amp wiring kits. I'm trying to decide between Lightning Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Pheniox Gold and Stinger. If anyone had any suggestions or experience using any of these or other brands, please reply. thanks
Basically, all amp wiring kits are the same. Just make sure you have the correct guage and fuse for the power of your amp. Make sure that the Power cable and the ground are the same guage (i.e 12V cable=4AWG ->Gound Cable=4AWG) I have a 4Guage kit for a 600 watt amp and most kits have everything premeasured and precalculated.

To determine the approximate current draw (in amperes) of your amplifier (or amplifiers), you must calculate first the total power of each amp (multiply the number of channels by the number of RMS watts per channel).
If you have multiple amps, add up the total power figures to arrive at a grand total.
Next, double your grand total power figure.
Then, divide by 13.8.
The resulting figure is your syst***s approximate current draw.
Compare this number to the numbers in the "Amperes" column in the chart below. Cross-reference with the cable length (the distance from your battery to the amp mounting location) to determine which gauge of cable you need.
