I have a 95 sc, and I have the problem that the stereo is very faint/does not work at all when it is raining. I did some searching and found this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...light=rain+amp
But it didn't show how to cure the problem. Does anybody know exactly where the water comes from so I can fix this? I hate driving with no music
Thanks,
Zac
Like that thread says, rain may be getting in through the trunk weatherstripping. You can replace the stock weatherstripping, add some extra home-depot weatherstripping, bend/remount the trunk lid or add a bead of RTV silicone to improve the seal.
Keep in mind the sunroof area drains through a hose that runs down the c-pillar and is supposed to drain through a grommeted hole in the bottom of the amp area. Be sure that hose is clear and is routed out the car.

glad to help with more info. there are 2 more places that could be leaking.the right tailite gasket and there is a gasket under the black plastic airbox below the amp in the bottom of the right quarterpanel. i would seal them with waterproof gasket compound.
