Removed all seals and gaskets, valvetrain and freeze plugs.
Hot tanked, replaced freeze plugs, and ready for rebuild. Got my **** and rets and other needed hardware.

I just have to clean my valves and lap them back into the head. Hoping to have complete motor built by next weekend.

hahaha it will, but since I already got a complete GTE motor, I'll just be using that and I will pull current boost ready motor and sell that as is. with 3500 rebuilt miles on it.

Before and After Shot of exhaust valves. I have enver seen barnicles on a valve before. I cleaned them off and wetsanded most of the carbon deposits off the valves.

I popped each vavle in my drill to check for bends and used it as a lathe to wetsand the carbon off the valves.

I dremelled polished off all other nasty things from the valves. and clean them in some gasoline.

Installing the Crower Titanium Springs and Retainers. I got a few intake valves done.

Well I finally got the head assembled after hand lapping the valves to seat them. I am just waiting on 3 more intake stem seals from Elmhurst Toyota and I will be done with this rebuild. My shoulder hurts from using the valve tool LOL damn 24valve motor!!!!!

Well, the supra is still running. This is a extra GTE motor im building in to swap into the car. I gotta clean and rebuild the bottom end then put it all together. once I have that stuff figured out... I will pull the engine and do the swap in a weekend. I still need a good clutch to throw in there. when I pull everything apart. Im going SouthBend DXD.

southbend dxd??? what that? btw, have you looked into spec clutches? they are relatively inexpensive and from what i hear, not a bad choice based on price. kind of like the kuhmo of clutches. they can build it to your liking too.

Well, I just need a clutch disk and a pilot bearing. Everything else can be reused. I am looking for a disk for under $300 shipped that gonan hold about 600rwhp.

Man whats with everyone thinking this is a ge build ? are you guys not reading.
B.Diddy- did you grind the valve seats at all ?
Im wondering if I should reuse the old valves on the head or replace then w/o machine work to the seats ?

ohh lol i just text'd you thinkin you were here Nah... I been too busy workin on projects to go out. We could go out to dinner or do something next weekend if you are up to it. just give me a call by thurs.

twojayzee.... I didnt have to clean the valve seats too much as they were pretty clean. I used a little lapping paste and hand lapped the valves into place. I would reuse the old valves as they are pretty strong.
