Default Exhaust valves

Has anyone tried to disconnect the exhaust valves so they stay open all the time. Did this on my Ferrari and Lamborghini and sounds great. Thanks

I first thought you meant the exhaust valves in the motor! lol

I have the PPE Dual Mode exhaust, and the valves on it are controlled by a remote. So, yes Didn't have my stock exhaust that long, so never fooled around with it.

What does it take to install the PPE DME?

Thanks,

^^^^There is equipment (mainly under body panels) to remove, but it's basically R&R. I also have PPE EL headers. Header installation is more complicated.

Yes I did and it's the only way to go on the LC original system IMO. Also tried it on my Aventador but went back to the drive-mode controlled set-up as the adrenaline pumping Corsa mode sound does get tiresome for ''casual'' drives.

Correct, default is open. Just be sure to properly secure the four harnesses up and away from the exhaust pipes and seal the connectors to protect against water and dirt. Won’t trigger any cluster lights or code.

awesome ! Thanks so much !

service dept gave bad info twice now, but compared to Chevy I’ll take them every day !

edit: just did the mod. I would assume only one connector on each side needs to be disconnected. It’s rainy and cold, I’m not going to play just removed all 4 and taped up the ends.

Thanks again

Good thing you did both harnesses for each valve as they are managed by separate modules. One is according to drive-mode setting and the other activates the valve according to rpm/throttle position/speed. Enjoy!

No I don't. Once you make it under the car it's only a 15 minute job so it can easily be reversed anyway...but that point is mute since you'll never go back.

So you have left it open permanently?
