Default Lexus Enform App Suite

Has anyone subscribed to the Lexus Enform App Suite in their LC 500? I wanted to know if it's really worth it or not.

I currently use the app suite. Have to say I'm not impressed. Pandora and iHeart Radio are difficult to start. On the other hand, once you do get them going, they sound great on the Mark Levison audio system.

Did you also subscribe to the remote start feature?

I currently have both the app suite and the remote app free. I bought the vehicle in February. I do like the remote app. Very convenient and I haven't had connectivity issues others have complained about.

Oh I didn't know it was free. I thought you have to have a monthly subscription...Thanks for the info!

It's free for the first year I think. Totally useless for my purposes though. With the remote start feature, the car actually turns off as soon as you open the door. You have to restart it. So annoying.

Edit: Opening up the app for the first time in months.

-One cool feature is that you can check how much gas you have.

-Takes a good 30 seconds to perform any remote command (unlock the door, etc) and confirm that the command has been executed remotely.

-Vehicle finder displays my car's location accurately, but my location as somewhere a block away from where I actually am.

-Guest driver feature seems cool. You can activate valet mode or any of several driver profiles (friend, family, etc.) to limit vehicle performance or driving range. The only issue is it takes so long for the command to execute, it's hardly convenient to activate when handing your car over to a valet.

That's kinda backwards if you ask me! You would think it wouldn't shut off if you have your fob right on you when you approach the vehicle.

I have the Lexus Enform Remote APP and it even works in my garage! I've only tried the lock/unlock feature but it surprised me. Kinda figured it would have to be outside to connect.

The Enform App Suite is free whether you have Enform Safety Connect, Enform Remote Start or Enform Destination Assist subscriptions or not.
With the Enform Remote Start enabled (comp for the first year, $80/year after) the key fob is capable of RS the car.
"fob works at a short distance (< "80) in a short time (< 10 sec.), phone works over much longer distance, takes > 20 seconds."

resurrecting this thread rather than starting a new one.

so my lc is 3 years old in december so i got email about subscribing to the services now the 'trial' is ending.

$32 month or $320 for a year for all 4 seems really excessive.

In the email:

THESE SERVICES WILL DEACTIVATE IF YOU DO NOT RENEW

SAFETY CONNECT $8 per month2
If you're involved in a collision, Safety Connect3 Automatic Collision Notification will automatically connect you to a 24-hour Safety Connect response center agent.1 Safety Connect also provides roadside assistance, emergency assistance via the in-vehicle SOS button and assistance to work with authorities to help find and recover your LC 500 if stolen.

REMOTE $8 per month2
The Lexus Enform Remote allows you to lock and unlock doors, start the engine and climate controls, check the fuel level, and more all through your smartphone or smartwatch. You can even use your app to find your LC 500 if you are miles away. For added peace of mind when a guest borrows your vehicle, the Lexus app can send instant alerts if the vehicle is started or exceeds preset limits on speed, curfew, miles driven, engine run time, total elapsed time or distance from a set location.

DESTINATION ASSIST $8 per month2
Destination Assist can provide easy, convenient 24-hour navigation assistance5 from a live response center agent. Keep your hands on the wheel and let an agent remotely send the destination to your vehicle's navigation system.

DYNAMIC NAVIGATION $8 per month2
Let Dynamic Navigation6 get you where you need to be. Enjoy greater accuracy with up-to-date map data through real-time updates from the cloud, alternate routes based on conditions ahead and search points of interest (POIs) based on casual search terms.

thoughts?

We view it as a waste of money. Your smart phone can do most of these things for free and it is faster and easier. We have it active on a new vehicle and let the LC app lapse.

My LC will be 3 years old next month, too.

I haven't gotten an email about this and no way am I interested in paying that to keep it!
