Default Backfiring?

My LC V8 exhaust growl "popped" during fairly aggressive acceleration yesterday. Is this backfiring? It did it again when starting the engine today. I'm using only premium fuel. Anyone else experience this?

No, I've never had that happen...

This occurs from time to time on my ISF. It is much more apparent with an aftermarket exhaust, however I believe the performance V8 cars do this from the factory.

Yes, I have experienced this as well, mine is not backfiring, it is just a cackle that is occurring in the exhaust system from fully unburned fuel. If you feel that it is different than that I would take it in for a check.

I've heard this twice. Once on start up. The second time I was accelerating normally from a green light.
I rather like it.

Thanks guys. Good to know it wasn't just my vehicle that's experiencing this from time-to-time. I kinda like it too - reminds me of my first non-catalytic converter 1972 Camaro. I was surprised since I always thought catalytic converters were supposed to prevent this from happening. And I don't recall any reference to this occurring in any of the hundreds of reviews/videos I watched before purchasing the LC. It doesn't happen consistently (only twice that I noticed), which has me wondering whether it's intentional or if the LC brain isn't always as smart as it could be.

Yes, mine 'popped' when the delivery specialist fired it up at the dealership. She indicated it wasn't that unusual. It was pretty loud.

Porsche charges you a couple grand extra "sport exhaust" to give you that same cackle :-)

Yup, I've gotten that before on mine - but as @newgsman mentioned, it's more apparent on an aftermarket exhaust - in my case I have an Armytrix exhaust. Here's a video of mine popping!
