Default LC Hard Top Convertible Options?

Hello All:

After a lot of thought I am going to make the jump from my RCF to an LC and love the idea of having a convertible, however I cannot stand the way the soft top looks. I had an M3 soft-top before and I had a removable hard top I could put on top of the car for everyday driving and take it off for the weekends. I was wondering if anyone had seen anything like this for the LC? I have been looking but to no avail.

Thanks in advance!

I asked the same question on here and there isn’t any. I also searched the crap out of google and can’t find anything either. I’m sure there are some custom top shops, but nothing mass produced.

If Lexus made this car a HTC it would be perfect IMO.

It would have been really cool but it would add significant weight to an already pretty heavy car. It would be even slower than it is. Not necessarily a bad thing to be slower but I suspect that sales numbers would have been even lower than what they are at the moment.

I seem to recall reading an article a few years ago when Lexus announced they were working on a LC convertible, they answered a question about if a LC HTC would be coming as well. They said it wasn’t possible with the design of the car. I don’t recall the article saying why that was, but I took that as the size and geometry of the roof and the rear quarter design made it a non-starter. But that was just my assumption…

Or more like the Corvette how top is hard and folds into the boot.

1. What you're asking for doesn't exist, and likely never will due to the low production count of the LC. You could always get an LC coupe?

2. Depending on which color car you get, you can also get the color top to match so it doesn't stand out. I went the opposite direction:

But I rarely drive it with the top up.

Just leave the top down all the time. That is what I do
