Just got a call this morning and the parts are in.

Because of the holiday, the car won't be ready till next week.

Update: Picked up the car today.

Looks fine.

Onward and upward now.

Still have to get the PPF done in a couple of months.

Also time to get a dash camera with “Park” mode? So that at least you have a case to hunt down that hit-n-run *******.

Got the bill.
$5,366.12. The sublet for the sensor recalibration was $2,539.40 and the towing back and forth was $250.00.
These cars are not cheap to repair!

i thought car insurance, even if you have a title, is required in most places?

It is in every state, only fools drive without it. I live in Houston(ton of paper license plates are on the road) and it worries me that if I'm involved in an accident the other driver wont have insurance. I added no fault to my policy. Plus Im suing in small claims court!

You only need to carry proof of Liability coverage which protects the other driver if you are at fault. You are not required to have comprehensive which covers damage to your own car.

That is true unless you are leasing a car. Leasing requires full insurance,.

is that what you do?

anyone who owns an LC would be insane not to have comprehensive coverage unless the lc is a rounding error on their worth. but i know billionaires - yeah they still have full insurance on their cars.
