i think it's possible because if they'd seen it, most likely they wouldn't have hit it.

Wow. Sorry to hear about your car getting damaged. I would be sick if that happened. Just all the hassle of getting the repair would irritate me. Hopefully they do a great job and it is as good as new when you get it back. Sucks that someone would hit you like that and keep going.

Thanks for the sympathy.
I would have been sick had it happened to my NSX!
The LC is my DD and quite frankly I didn't even notice the damage for a couple of days. Cosmetic and in a place that is not obvious from the driver side.
The repair place said they did not have any idea how long it would take for parts, but the car is drivable so no big deal.
This is why I have insurance!
Got told it won't raise my rate either.

My LC is 'My NSX'….I would be deeply hurt if she was ever damaged. With structural blue paint, it could be a real nitemare!

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both my cars. Although it seems I would rather own them than drive them.

I think I would have been more upset if the damage was going to affect the way it drives, or if had been more extensive.

As it is the complete repair will take a matter of months as there is a PPF on the bumper and that cannot be replaced until the paint "cures", which is a couple of months.

With the supply chain chaos, they don't know when they will have parts.

The car damage was just the "cherry on top" of two months of medical CRAP I have been dealing with which I blame on COVID.

The last of that is taking place on Monday, my dentist is yanking a tooth that abscessed during my COVID dealings.

I was bedridden on and off for over three weeks, which is a saga itself.

This year was my worst in a long time, a lot of health related incidents and the year isn't over! lol

Sorry to hear that you are coming off of some covid related drama. Hopefully in the not too distant future, you will be blessed to be able to put all of that behind you. Life is short and from where we are standing, too short. So whatever we do, we gotta do our thang! If ever there was time to enjoy ourselves, this is it! ..... Stay Blessed!

I want to know how many hours of labor it is to reprogram those sensors. No way does it take 7-8hrs.

I suggest you call a LEXUS dealer that does this.

Shouldn't you let insurance fight the labor bill gouging battle since they are paying for this?

Is the car immobilized or something that it needs to be towed? Is just a minor crack on the rear bumper.

It is a hole in the front bumper, passenger side.
The reason for the towing to get the sensors recalibrated is for liability.
The repair place will not drive it with the safety stuff not operating or out of cal.
It is better (liability) for them to flat bed it to and from LEXUS and the insurance company is fine with that.
