Congrats, more pics! This is exactly what I’m waiting on… NM with TC interior coupe.

How long did you have to wait?

Hello!
Many congratulations on your car! Make sure to enjoy it in good health.

I just have a few questions if you would be willing to answer. Did you place an order on that vehicle and is it a non bespoke? How long did you wait for it to come in? If you were waiting for the allocation, was the allocation details changed by your dealership towards your preferences?

I have deposits/reservations made over six dealerships. I am getting contradicting information about "ordering" the car. All of them had said though that a true order for non bespoke are not possible as of yet.

MB, you and I are in the same boat. I’m in Texas as well, in the wait list at 6 dealerships, and I hear the exact same story as you. No one is “taking orders” even if it’s not the advertised “bespoke” model options - not even “hey I want this color and interior”. They can’t predict what will get allocated to them, when, they can’t even request that an allocation be a particular color! Once they get an allocation they go down the wait list to see who closest matches, and they get offered the car. I have not been in the wait list very long, but a couple dealers “guessed” March/April. If they do start actually taking orders are putting them in their manufacturing schedule, there might be hope of getting exactly what you want. I think there are folks out there with “orders accepted” that have been waiting for 8 months or so, with no production date. PM me if you want to discuss further.

Could you DM me any dealers that are willing to order outside of Texas? As for buying from out of state, any that I had found in my specs had anywhere from 10k-20k markup. I've bought an 2022 Alpina B7 as well as a 2022 Escalade Sport Platinum ESV and a Toyota truck all below MSRP at peak covid. Even if they were doing markups, they weren't keen on giving to someone outside their location.

Bit, I’ve found the same issue. They won’t put anyone on even their wait list if not local. As far as ordering, I’d be happy to do that if there was a dealer willing to — but multiple dealers have told me that all dealers are either not taking orders, only doing it for local people, or taking orders that go into a black hole. If you or anyone have a trusted dealer/salesperson anywhere in the US, I would be happy to contact. And like MB, not interested in paying a huge markup. I’ve seen some with $20k marked as “Dealer Adjustment” right on the online price detail .

Fernando at Lexus of Tucson - Speedway is willing to help if he can. He has surprised me a couple of times already this year. DM me if you want/need his number.

Thanks! Shot him an email.

I just had a phone call with a sales person at JM Lexus in Florida (which supposedly is the largest selling dealer in the country). She said (1) Lexus is not "taking orders" right now because they cannot guarantee the requested car would be built, (2) JM doesn't maintain even a wait list on allocations for the LC 500 (a couple of other models they do), and (3) when they have an allocated vehicle on their way to them, it's first come, first served.

She told me they have a new 2023 Cloudburst Grey with red interior (Coupe) coming that is not spoken for, so if that floats anyone's boat - give them a call!

OMG! Awesome! Congrats & drive in good health.

PS - I see this is from JM Lexus - did you order it, or jump on an allocation? If you ordered, how long ago?

This is a non-bespoke car and I had help getting it from someone. I started last November trying to get an ISF. In June I was told by the dealer that they couldn’t tell me if or when it might be built. I spoke to a friend with some connections in July who facilitated an order for me. I sent them what options I wanted and they made it happen. It has Torsen, Touring Package, 21” optional wheels and the color choice I wanted.
