Default Pirelli P Zero's

after around 50K on the 'Stones, it was time for new shoes, and with the partial shut down
of japanese auto production no one has even heard of the 'Stones potenza anymore so we
tried on a quartet of Pirelli P Zero (P4) run flats. the difference in the car is miraculous.
the 'Stones were galoshes; the P Zero's - ballet slippers. the car comes alive with lighter tires,
and i can now well respect others' take that the 'Stones are obnoxious. the P Zero's are much softer
and lighter so the engine sound is much more pronounced, and the rumble more visceral. it is apparent
that heavy rubber can deaden overall feel, which has dramatically improved with this italian rubber.
so today we took a little spin to get to know each other better and to tell how far we could push and feel secure -
and no problem...i pushed pretty hard on wet pavement, tried to bust it loose as fast as i'll ever go - all good and totally secure.
this is a fantastic tire that really enhances overall driving experience, and lets the car express itself more clearly.
we'll have to see about the mileage (no warranty) - i tend to drive fast, but not hard.

the P Zero's are softer, more comfortable, and translate less of the road imperfections into the car

Did you check with your dealer for the Stones?
Melbourne Lexus was by far the cheapest place for Stone replacements and they even had them in stock a year ago when I checked.

Impressed that you got anything close to 50K with staggered tires!
Thot I would be changing out my Dunlops around 20s.

after 50k on the old ones, even running without tires would have been more comfortable.

I am fan of Pirelli P Zero's but they wear out too fast from my previous experience.

How did you find the ride comfort and noise before they wore out, and what mileage did they finally need to be replaced at?
