Default 30k service maintenance

Has anyone completed the 30k service?
Was quoted 1k for this and wasn't sure it was worthy or not.

NONE of the 'xxK' services are worth it imo. Just free money for Toyota!

so do you just avoid scheduled maintenance, get it done somewhere else, or DIY?

Yes you can do it yourself or do it elsewhere, but for resale it's nice to show the Carfax showing all of the dealer services. Not sure if that adds value but it should. Probably doesn't matter if you trade it in vs sell it yourself though.

Bit--- Never said that I don’t do scheduled services, Just never felt that the prices quoted were justified.

I had mine done at 26k miles and it was free( car is certified) except for 2 run flats. The tires cost close to $1400 dollars with an alignment.

What all is included? The cost doesn't sound too bad for a $100k+ car, to be honest. I think it's worth it for peace of mind.

Ah in that case $1,000 is pretty steep. Maybe try shopping around?

There is always some room for negotiation in their quoted price, So I am never reluctant to ask for it.

And you know they'll find something during these inspections.

no... waste of money unless your car is routinely sprayed by salt water.
