Default 2018 LC extended Warranty

Hello Everyone
Any extended warranty takers out there? I have been getting emails for the last 6 months as my warranty is up in Sept 2022, this year. So this is normal, the upsell.
I have 20,700mi yr.2018 and called the Dealer. They stated they can give a new car warranty for 3890.00. Goes till 60K or Feb 2027. I would most likely hit the date B4 the mileage. Again, nothing more than what we would get with a new car warranty.
Any thoughts, anyone have experience buying or selling warranties? Pro's an Con's. Yes it is a Lexus as we all say, but its still a machine made by man soooooo?
Thanks everyone.

I totally agree. If the vehicle is maintained well, the extended warrantee premiums will far outweigh the costs of repairs. It's only the rare exception where the extended warranty pays for itself. That's why these companies make literal boat-loads of money on consumers and are continually competing for our business. Usually, it's the excited/enthusiastic buyer in the showroom that falls for these extended warrantee scams where the dealers and the warrantee companies make out like bandits.

Give these guys a try, it's supposed to be a decent deal on an auto extended warranty: https://joinyaa.com/extended-warranty/

Given the legendary reliability/build quality of Lexus, I've often wondered why some are keen to spend significant sums on an extended warranty. I think I've said it before, but here in the UK every time Lexus service their cars, you as the owner get a further 1-year extended warranty and up to 10 years of age, this came about last June. I'd like to think that shows how much faith Lexus have in their product, and perhaps we as owners should have as well?
I'll admit, I'm coming from the point of view of someone who would only have benefitted once from an extended warranty after the ownership of some 20 odd cars. Perhaps statistically I was lucky?

As with ALL cars, it's a Terrible idea to get ANY BS rip off 3rd party warranty that isn't even a real warranty. Get a factory Toyo or self insure. There are deals on the best factory plan, the Toyo Platinum. Bumper to bumper. Your original warranty must still be in effect. I have read you can be out of original warranty and just pay a bit more but I don't know that for a fact.
Here is the best deal. There is another dealer in New Hamster but Wolverine is a couple hundred dollars cheaper. It is a profit center for them. I am in Fla and have bought 2 factory warrantees from Jennifer.

Obviously I got the 10 year/100k. $3185. That's from your original 1st day in service date.

Anyone who says you can't do these is ignorant. Toyo only says these 2 dealers can't Advertise their factory warranty deals.

I have my application back from Jennifer, the actual warranty will come from Toyota Financial here soon.
Tell Jennifer I said Hi.

Wolverine sold me 2 policies. 2 years ago, a 2017 Camry and last month my 2018 LC 500. The cost table I posted was for the LC, waiting on the final paperwork from the Mothership.
Yes, both are very reliable models, but I Don't Like surprises and I had the money.

Even though they are high quality, one repair can be $3-4k or more. Some HVAC servo motors on my IS350 went out under warranty and Lexus took care of it. Had the warranty expried, it would have been something like $2500. Years ago my dad had a suspension part fail on his GS and that was also a few grand that he didn't have a warranty for. So one repair can easily cost the same as a warranty. I can't imagine what some LC repairs might cost.

I realize it would be an unusual situation, but I read replacing the CF roof was 15G.
I read about a bunch of peeps getting the CF roof Ceramiced And PPFd before taking it home. Yeah. F that.

Lots of good information. As a retired airline pilot I am a firm believer 'Murphy's Law', and also 'Murphy's Corollary (Murphy was an Optimist!).
An extended warranty on a car tlike the LC, if you plan to retain it for a long period, seems to me like a given. I would stick with a dealer of reputable supplier, not some of the robo calls.
Has anyone bought a non-certified used car and gotten it certified? I understand this can be done for $1K-$4K depending on condition/mileage, etc.
