Finally had my hard wire installed so that I could mount the V1 Gen2 in the LC. Big upgrade over the Gen1. Fewer false alarms so MUCH quieter. I was a bit concerned about mounting it on a convertible. Debated mounting on the sun visor versus the windshield. I decided on the windshield for now like I have done in the past.
I use Waze like other folks but I like having the detector mounted for that extra layer of protection.
Great choice in a detector and install looks nice. I have owned a couple first generation V1s in the past and they were amazing devices. I can personally attest to the dozens of times that this little machine has saved me. I also have been watching comparison videos lately and reading information, in regard to what else is currently available on the market. It looks as if the newer second generation V1 is the direction I will be heading again.

Gen2 really works great. You almost feel that it is too quiet, but it is just doing it’s job.
